Living Word Christian School – Grades Kindergarten – 12
Home of the Tigers
Living Word has what your child needs!
From Kindergarten through High School Graduation… from ABC’s with Ace and Christie to calculus…from learning about God to experiencing God.
Living Word Christian School has earned international recognition as an A.C.E. Model School. We are proud of our staff and students that have helped us achieve this status with this internationally recognized organization.
L.W.C.S. exclusively uses Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) curriculum. This individualized curriculum will take your college-bound high school student through courses including physics, trig and calculus, or your first grade student through a comprehensive phonics reading readiness program, along with a strong core and enriched curriculum.
Over 20 years of service, L.W.C.S. has helped many students attain goals previously believed to be unattainable to them. Because the
A.C.E. curriculum is individualized and because of the unique learning environment, it works very well with students kindergarten to 12 grade that have learning differences including dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This type of curriculum and learning environment also works well for students with Asperger’s Disorder and Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD).
Students from elementary to high school are encouraged to participate in sports programs and camps which include football, volleyball and basketball as a means of building character and promoting team skills.
Students also compete in a state and international competition hosted by A.C.E. during the school year. At Regional Student Convention there are 144 categories in which students may compete including music, academics, athletics, art, photography, drama, and many other areas. Students compete during the day, and attend rallies in the evening.
Students that place at Regional Student Convention qualify to participate at International Student Convention where students from all over the world gather to compete at a major U.S. University campus. These “Olympics” are the highlight of the school year for thousands of students. L.W.C.S. is blessed to have had students place at both of these outstanding events. It is a wonderful and exciting opportunity for our students to experience this multi-cultured event.
In this time of financial difficulties, L.W.C.S. offers many tuition options. There are full scholarship opportunities for students with learning disabilities who have a current IEP through the Department of Education (McKay Scholarship). Low income families qualify for a scholarship through Step Up For Students. If your child qualifies for the low income scholarship, L.W.C.S. will accept the scholarship amount as payment in full. Parents will not be required to pay a school balance. Also as a service to our parents, we offer free before and after school care. For more information on these scholarships and tuition discount programs, please click the Scholarship link.
Homeschooling options are also available. If you are interested in this program please call L.W.C.S.
